SUPERCHARGE YOUR ‘ANT FOREST’ GAME – RECONNECT WITH FRIENDS BACK HOME AND HELP US PLANT A FOREST

To my fellow expats and friends here in China.

I’m guessing there’s very few of us still hanging at Wuhan, at the true front lines, but from a world perspective – to the mothers and fathers, brothers, sisters, friends and broader social networks back home worrying about us, we are on the front lines.

Our situation is unique. We live here, we work here, and we each have our networks here. We are connected to this place and it’s people, but at the same time, we have all those networks back home too – all those old friends and family we know and love. This unique position, at this particular point in history, gives us an opportunity.

Today I want to share with you an idea. There’s a way that we, together with everyone back home, can help - help the coronavirus sufferers, help Wuhan, help China and help the world. The best part is: all you need is your phone, and your people.

The idea:

In our account of Wechat, we introduced Alipay’s in-app mini-program: ‘Ant Forest’(蚂蚁森林). We explained how to find and use Ant Forest applet game to turn everyday green lifestyle choices into a virtual tree, into a real tree, to grow forests and help turn baron land into thriving, green ecosystems- creating jobs and re moving carbon from our skies. Both Alipay and Ant Forest are accessible internationally, so everyone can play.

Are you playing? Because we are, and we’re about to up our game.

Trendy Adventurer’s goals

For China:

Through playing Ant Forest, get Alipay to plant as many trees as they can throughout China to create local jobs bring the desert to life.

For Wuhan:

Help grow a forest in Wuhan! Get overseas friends to pour their spare carbon energy into the Wuhan public benefit forests, which we can visit! (later, after things settle down, of course)

How to be a join in

Here’s how to play this ‘Ant Forest’ game at expert level.

1. If you don’t already have Ant Forest, get it. (see our previous article)

2. Follow the guide below to connect to your friends back home, supercharge your tree-planting speed and plant every tree!

The Trendy Adventurer ‘Supercharge your Tree’ Guide

Firstly, download Alipay.

Secondly, find and access "Ant Forest"

1) Open ‘Alipay’.

2) Copy-paste or type ‘蚂蚁森林’ into the Alipay search bar.

3) Click into the Applet and accept the terms to see your virtual tree!

Then, add your friends. Enlist their help

1) Send these instructions to your friends back at home. Help them download the app and find their virtual tree.

2) In the Alipay home screen, open friends page.

Tap the add friend icon.

Search your friend by their mobile number, or;

Tap the ‘My Zhi Token’ icon and send it to your friend. The Zhi Token will copy automatically when you tap the icon. Your friend can copy and paste it into the Alipay search bar to add you directly.

3) Share Trendy Adventurer’s article on how to play ‘Ant Forest’. Stay in contact - get your friend to water your tree and the Wuhan public benefit forest tree daily.
